That’s the question we answer every day at International Elf Service – by using magical storytelling for kids to teach real-world concepts in a way that actually sticks.
In a world overflowing with digital content, how do you get children to truly absorb something valuable?
How do you explain things like anxiety, inclusion, conservation – or even how their brains work – so they not only understand, but remember?
The answer is simple: make it magical.
Why Magical Storytelling for Kids Works
Children are natural story-lovers. They’re curious, imaginative and eager to understand the world around them.
So instead of handing them a worksheet or a wall of text, we give them a Magical Newspaper or Letter from the North Pole – packed with adventure, humour, and mystery, all while weaving in real-world facts and life skills.
These bespoke reading experiences:
- Grab attention
- Spark conversations at home
- Deliver your message in a joyful, memorable way
And the best part? They’re just as enjoyable for grown-ups to read too.

The Story Behind the Stories
You might be surprised to hear that I come from a scientific background:
- Honours Degree in Physiology
- Honours Degree in Osteopathy
- Set up the Heart Valve Bank in Bristol
- Trained as a Cardiac Perfusionist at Barts Hospital
- Pharmaceutical project manager in London
- Lab-based research technician
(And yes – I’ve ridden an ostrich. Clearly the most important part of my career.)
Today, I use both sides of my brain – alongside my incredibly talented team – to create magical, meaningful content that educates children in a way they love.

What Can We Create Together?
We help organisations communicate important topics through magical storytelling for kids.
We take your values, mission, or message and transform them into engaging, bite-sized stories that stick with children and their families. These can be themed Magical Newspapers or Letters from Magical Worlds, all tailored to your exact goals.
Topics we can help bring to life include:
- Communication
- Dyslexia
- Inclusion
- Genetics
- Conservation
- Disability
- How the brain works
- Money & finance
- Movement and physical health
- First aid
- Meltdowns
- Sustainability
- Anxiety
If you have a different topic in mind – we’d love to hear it!
How It Works
All we need from you is the core message or information you’d like to include.
We’ll then:
- Write and illustrate a bespoke magical story around it
- Format it into one of our immersive newspaper or letter designs
- Deliver a finished piece that families will treasure – and talk about
Whether you’re a school, charity, health organisation, museum, or brand – if you want to connect with children and their grown-ups, this is a joyful, lasting way to do it.
Ready to Create Something Magical?
We’d love to work with you.
