We have been so busy and also completely riddled with winter lurgies, so I must apologise for not posting for a while! Facebook, Google + and Twitter have been updated regularly so please do look there for December news and to share Elfie ideas and fun.

We’re in the final run up to Christmas and the kids are almost ready to burst with excitement. We’ve started our Christmas baking – gingerbread men (or should I say some icing with a little bit of gingerbread man underneath), stripy jelly stacks, stewed apples and pears with cinnamon and raisins and Christmas nuts as we call them – nuts roasted with honey and cinnamon… All very delicious and comfort foody.

The kids have been really enjoying Elfie’s Christmas Letters and the hiding places have been getting more and more obscure as December has gone on. It’s been so lovely to watch them with the ‘finished product’. Tomorrow’s letter is hidden in the middle of our daughter’s birthday cards, which she’ll open the minute she can coax us all downstairs. Happy 8th birthday my darling girl!
