An Elfie shipment arrived today to join the bags of natural wood filler, candy cane cord, twine and an enormous box of mailing paraphernalia!
Now this is all well and good BUT I have to hide it where the kids can’t see it, get curious, start rummaging and then blow the whole International Elf Service cover. I can’t POSSIBLY be the one to shatter their beliefs about Christmas magic. I just can’t. So I’ve had to get creative:
Huge box of mailing ‘stuff’ – under husband’s desk
Tape and tape guns – in a large shoe box on the mantlepiece in my clinic room (under 2 other pretty boxes).
Wood shavings – stuffed behind the sofa in my clinic room AND wedged in to a blanket box I have in there too.
Candy cane cord, sisal – in the blanket box.
Flat packed mailing boxes – under the sofa where my patients sit.
Now that all sounds very good so far? Now it appears there’s just the small matter of the lovely not at all flat-packed boxes that Elfie puts the letters in. Oh dear. Thinking cap…
